Staff Deaf Interpreter

Full time and part time positions available in healthcare settings across Boston, Rhode Island and beyond. You interpret in Deaf/hearing teams, we handle the scheduling.

Boston · Rhode Island 4 or 5 days a week Relocation stipend available

Base salary · 5 days
$83,200–$97,500
Base salary · 4 days
$66,560–$78,000
Plus

Night and weekend differentials, round trip travel time pay, parking and mileage.

The role

What you'll do

  • Provide ASL/English interpretation for Deaf and hearing patients and providers
  • Work in Deaf/hearing teams as well as team with VRI
  • Travel to and from assignments — no daily reporting to our office
  • Work with our schedule coordinators to cover pre-scheduled and emergency requests
  • Join us at PI sponsor and recruiting events
Schedule

Part time (4 days) or full time (5 days), additional hours available. Monday–Friday within business hours, 8am–5pm.

The fit

Who we're looking for

  • Minimum 7 years interpreting experience
  • National certification (RID), BEI, or MCDHH screening
  • Strong understanding of the CPC and professional ethics
  • Rhode Island license, or qualified to obtain one
  • Positive, team oriented, and flexible
Education

Bachelor's degree preferred, not required.
