Aspiring Interpreters

Aspiring Interpreters

Partners Interpreting recognizes the demand for high quality interpreters continues to rise, therefore, we have made contributing to developing our future colleagues a priority. Partners Interpreting is committed to support the development and growth of aspiring interpreters through a structured internship program.

We provide internship opportunities for student in the third and/or fourth year of their Interpreter Training Program. Our goal is to provide aspiring interpreters with a rich and diverse experience, an opportunity to apply the concepts learned during their academic program, a means to expand their worldly knowledge, encourage self-awareness, self-assessment and challenge their thought process in a safe and supportive environment. Each student will have an individualized action plan to guide their learning and experiences both off and on-the-job.

We have a team of experienced trained mentors that are guided by our Director of Professional Development, Michele Martinez, and are overseen by Co-Founder, Jennifer Maloney. The mentors have been trained in coaching and mentoring philosophies that help guide the interpreter’s journey. In addition, the interpreter’s will gain an insight into the business of interpreting from coordination to business development by shadowing our office team.
