Frequently Asked Questions

Customer FAQ

No. You are not obligated to do so. This allows us to create an account and enter your organization into our scheduling system. Once the verbal, written, or online request is submitted, we start our coordinating work.

The state system is a referral service that broadcasts your request to independent contractors in their pool. As soon as a contractor agrees to take the job, you and the contractor(s) must directly handle the arrangements. These arrangements might include site contact, parking, and assignment information (agenda/schedule, access to materials for discussion, etc.). The interpreters will then bill you for their services. In other words, should you decide to work with a state referral agency, you must understand that you are entering into a contract with your interpreter. As such, your business will be responsible for any and all HR tasks involved in collaborating with your independent contractor to establish policies, rates, expectations, etc.

On the other hand, the Partners Interpreting agency is a full-service language company. We provide end-to-end interpreting coordination and management. We carry liability insurance, handle all the business arrangements, assignment logistics, and manage our employees’ HR portfolios. In addition, we will send you one comprehensive invoice detailing all services rendered, and we will manage the interpreter/captioner payroll. For more information, don’t hesitate to contact our office. We also handle the billing paperwork for you.

In some cases, we can provide a contract, proposal, or quote if requested. We manage the request in full by gathering information and materials, securing an interpreter (from our network) to meet your specific needs, and providing the rates and policies before the assignment. Please read our white paper/benefits page

We can begin our work once a verbal or written agreement is in place for first-time customers. We work on requests immediately for existing customers, giving higher priority to the most immediate request. However, assignments made several months in advance are also given attention.

Once Partners Interpreting secures an interpreter, we will notify you via automated email. We will confirm last-minute requests by phone.

We offer premium dedicated services for customers who have a formal contract with us. For general requests, we cannot guarantee the availability of interpreters or captioners. However, with our extensive network of interpreters, we are confident we can satisfy your needs. Factors such as lead time, time of the assignment, and nature of the project can impact the request.

Yes. If you or the Deaf/Hard of Hearing person(s) have preferred interpreters, we will strive to accommodate your preferences. If the interpreter is not yet in our network, we will contact them for your event.

Yes. Please schedule such an appointment through Partners Interpreting. This way, you can utilize our network to ensure staffing for your current and future engagements, even when your preferred interpreter is not available. Please follow up with us for confirmation and billing.

We do not recommend this as it can cause conflicting problems such as overlapped systems and double booking. There are also different cancellation policies for each agency.

No. We accept requests of all types, but advance notice is always best. We can’t guarantee the availability of interpreters or captioners. However, our staff will work diligently from the moment we receive the request until the latest time set by you. You can even request services outside of business hours.
