ASL Word Play Workshop

In this workshop, you will explore the linguistic patterns of American Sign Language (and learn how to break them!). We will focus heavily on proper classifier usage, academic language, and ASL rhymes. You will also learn how to integrate the linguistic properties into academic/content areas. Be prepared for some hands-on activities!
*This workshop is geared for advanced ASL users.
Michael Olivier enjoys creating fun and memorable lessons, activities and games for his students! Currently, Michael serves as an ASL Specialist at The Learning Center for the Deaf, and has varied experience ranging from the K-12 setting to college level. His interests include ASL linguistics, Academic ASL and ASL storytelling
