Medical Interpreting: A Visual Perspective

ATTENTION DEAF AND HEARING Interpreters:
We invite you to challenge yourself and open your mind to the use of medical terminology using classifiers and handshapes. This Friday workshop is open to individuals of all signing abilities and will serve as the introduction to the extensive advanced medical workshop on Saturday and Sunday. Participants will get a preview of what the Visual Hands workshop has to offer, and an introduction to classifiers and handshipes. This workshop will be a fun and interactive activity all relating to ASL communication in the medical environment.
The workshops will be held in the Vocational Building, Rockwell Conference Room.
CRID is an approved RID CMP Sponsor for continuing education activities. This Professional Studies activity (Friday only) is offered for .3 CEUs at the Some content knowledge level.
